Elena is a multidisciplinary artist with a diverse background in window display, event, and experience design. In the course of her career as a visual director, she has worked with multiple retail stores and a science museum. Elena’s passion for sewing clothing comes from the early childhood, and was inherited from her mother.
In 2015, Elena launched Figura clothing from the bedroom of her tiny apartment in Moscow, Russia. In 2016, Elena moved to New York where she continued to experiment with shapes and techniques. Figura designs flatter every shape and size while serving as practical and comfortable additions to our everyday wardrobe.
Elena has launched a few campaigns to draw attention to fashion industry issues. Her models are real women with their own stories. Her clothes aim to capture the diverse beauty of every woman. To explore the meaning of clothing in our busy life, Figura featured women from different fields and backgrounds, ranging from a barista at a Parisian cafe to an emerging DJ in New York.
Currently Elena lives in Brooklyn, New York. She loves to cook, bike around, spend time in the sewing studio, and dreams of getting a dog.
By purchasing Figura clothing you support a small independent production. Thanks for letting us work on what we love so much.
